Kirkstall councillors at the first Market 28 May 2011

Cllr Lucinda Yeadon has championed the new Farmers’ Market which takes place at Kirkstall Abbey between 12 noon – 3pm on the last Saturday of each month. Vegetables, meat, plants and cooked produce are on sale. The first market was packed and a great success, despite it blowing half a gale and taking some of the awnings!

Pitches are available from £10 if you bring your own stall, £15 with stall provided. You should also have Public Liability Insurance and this can be arranged. Food sales must comply with Environmental Health regulations. To book a stall, contact the Abbey House Museum, LS5 3EH: telephone 0113 230 5492 email kirkstall.abbey@leeds.gov.uk.
